Jay Wegter


Professor, Speaker, Writer, Executive Director of Gospel for Life


An experienced pastor and Bible teacher, Jay has a Master of Divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary.and a B.A. Bible degree from San Diego Christian College. He is an adjunct professor of Theology, Christian worldview (Apologetics and Evangelism), and Grace- Driven Sanctification at The Master’s University. He also teaches Introduction to Christian Theology for biblical counseling majors.

Because of his passion to help the church recover her New Testament mission, Jay founded Gospel for Life in 2005. GFL is a training ministry which assists local churches in fulfilling The Great Commission through evangelistic outreach and through curriculum designed to keep the Gospel central in discipleship. GFL provides equipping in leadership development, evangelism, apologetics and discipleship, and in grace-driven sanctification (www.gospelforlife.org). Jay’s week is typically occupied with men’s ministry, worldview mentoring and discipleship. He is a traveling speaker, providing workshops on Men’s Ministry; Evangelism and Discipleship Training; and Christian Worldview. He regularly presents his course on Worldview Evangelism at churches and Bible institutes.

Jay is co-author of the book, “This Little Church had None,” published by Evangelical Press of England, featured gift book at the Shepherds’ Conference in 2009. Jay has also written resources on the Christian life. Titles include the following: “30 Days of Transforming Grace,” “Christ’s Pattern for His Church: Disciples making Disciples,” “The Purity Workbook for Men,”in English and Spanish, “How to Share the Gospel in a Post- Christian World,” and “A Man and His Convictions” (available on Amazon), and "Eight Life Changing Questions for Disciple-makers,"
